• MD Degree with 15 years of practice in Emergency Medicine, including Military Service in the U.S. Air Force.

• PhD Degree in Classical American Philosophy and the Philosophy of Medicine

• Directed Clinical Consultation Services for the Department of Health Care Ethics

• Core Faculty and Doctoral Dissertation Director for Ph.D. Students in Health Care Ethics

• Taught Medical Ethics to Medical Students, Doctoral Students, Resident Physicians, Nursing Students, Students in other Medical Vocations, and Undergraduates.

• Author of three Books and over one hundred Scholarly Articles on Medical Ethics, Emergency Medicine, and Philosophy. 

In his free time, Dr. Trotter enjoys fly fishing, mountaineering, motorcycle trips, and family gatherings
